Corporate Social Networks And Entrepreneurial Performance Relationship In The Context Of Industrial Clusters

In the background of economic globalization, Corporations are facing increased competition now. For response to the rapid development of technology and share in huge R & D funds, dealing with the fierce market competition, Corporations need for a specialized division of labor and resources cooperation, and thus the enterprise networks has increased. The corporate social network plays important role in enterprise performance. In this study, the paper foucused on the specific industry cluster , and then draw on the current social network theory and research methods, combined with China political, economic, social and cultural background , to explore the relation of corporate social networks and corporate performance in depth. and then to analysis the intermediary role of intellectual capital in the process of Corporations social network affecting business performance.The paper focused on the corporations in specific industry cluster and at start up stage and growing stage,and then explored the "corporate social network"at Chinese cultural background. Through theoretical reviewed,corporate interviews and questionnaires empirical research we found that at China cultural backgrounds, Corporate social network including Centrality, Dynamic , Strength of tie and Node Heterogeneity four dimensions. And summarize intellectual capital into human capital, customer capital and organizational capital that three dimensions. Entrepreneurial Performance was put into survival, growth performance two dimensions. And the four dimensions of enterprise social networks and the intellectual capital and business performance is closely related dimension, Along with the different businesses have different effects. Specifically, without considered the role of intermediary of intellectual capital, Dynamic , Strength of tie and Node Heterogeneity plays notable positive effect on growth performace. Centrality, Dynamic , Strength of tie plays notable positive effect on survival performace.Based on empirical data analysis,the paper proved that the intermediary role of intellectual capital does exist between the corporate social network and entrepreneurial performance Intellectual Capital plays an intermediary role between Central and growth performace; Intellectual Capital plays an intermediary role between Dynamic and growth performace; Intellectual Capital plays an intermediary role between Strength of tie and growth performace; Intellectual Capital plays an intermediary role between Node Heterogeneity and survival performace; Intellectual Capital plays an intermediary role between Dynamic and survival performace;Intellectual Capital plays an intermediary role between Strength of tie and survival performace. The paper discussed the detail mechanism between corporate social networks and Entrepreneurial Performance, leading to some meaningful conclusions.This study was also concerned about the stage of entrepreneurship buffering the relationship between corporate social network and Entrepreneurial performance. Through empirical studies,this paper found that stage buffered the relationship between Dynamic , Strength of tie and survival performace. Stage of entrepreneurship also buffered the relationship between Dynamic and growth performace.This study also found that the characteristics of corporate social network is significantly different between value chain industry cluster and innovative industry cluster.
