The world has entered into a rapidly developing and quickly changing era.In the face of quickly changing external environments, how enterprises to adapt the environmental turbulence and acquire competitive advantage in the furious international competition? Many scholars both foreign and domestic had pointed out that innovation is the only and indispensable way for companies in the future to obtain competitive advantage.In order to continually innovate one must learn constantly.The only sustaining competitive advantage is the learning capability that you can learn more quickly than your rivals.This research has examined organizational learning culture under Chinese culture background.Detailedly, we paid great attention to organizational learning as a set of values that influence the degree to which an organization is satisfied with its theries in use.Case studies and other empirical studies show that under Chinese context the concept of organizational learning is also a three folded construct, with commitiment to learning, shared vision and open-mindedness as three dimensions.Commitiment to learning means the top management team deem learning as the fundamental value for company.Shared vision is about sharing the future developing vision with members in enterprise.And open-mindedness means organization should proactively question its long-held routines,assumptions and beliefs then think in a innovative way.The three dimensions are interconnected with each other. Shared vision determines the learning direction,while commitiment to learning and open-mindedness influence learning intensity.Based on organizational learning, we have also examined the relationship between organizational learning and organizational performances, related organizational performances are divided into three dimensions: innovation, profitability, and potential of employees' growth in Chinese context.The results of this study show that commitiment to learning has significant influence on the performances of innovation and employees' growth;shared vision has significant influence on the performance of innovation,profitability,and employees' growth;open-mindedness has significant influence on the performance of innovation.This research has also identified some antecedents of organizational learning orientation: differentiation strategy, environmental turbulence including technological turbulence and market turbulence.The empirical study results indicate that both the two dimensions of environmental turbulence have positive direct impact on all threefactors of organizational learning, while differentiation strategy only has positive direct impact on shared vision factor of learning orientation.
