It is quite obvious that economic globalization has become an irreversible historical trend. The reason that major western countries keep long-term and fairly strong competitive edge is greatly due to the overall enhancement of the competitiveness brought by the multi-national activities made by the enterprises in these countries and regions. In recent years, Chinese government and enterprises are more and more aware of this and the Chinese government has put forward the strategy of "going global". Some domestic enterprises, based on their own situations, also expand by and by their business to other countries and regions and have achieved sound economic and social benefits. But generally speaking, there is huge difference between overseas Chinese enterprises and western multinationals no matter in quality or in quantity. Chinese enterprise carrying out international business, if intending to make full use of "two kinds of resources-Chinese and foreign" and carry out competition in the "two kinds of markets-domestic and overseas" in a more efficient way and in a larger scale, should make a clear strategic planning according to the profound changes at home and abroad, its own situation for development, and the analysis of present conditions.Shandong Foreign Economic and Technological Cooperation Corporation (hereafter referred to as SFETC) is a group corporation carrying out foreign business according to the reform and group strategic set by Shandong Provincial Government for state-owned enterprises in Shandong, and based on Shandong International Economic and Technological Cooperation Corporation, it is a corporation with diversified equity owners and registered according to the modern enterprise system. This thesis, with the background of economic globalization, targeting at the diversified business and internationalized location, and from the perspective of business strategy by combining theory with practice, gives an analysis on the domestic and international macro-economic situation, the SFETC's situation as compared with other enterprises of the same kind, and its major competitors.
