Selection And Training Of Leading Industry In Yunnan Province

Economic competition is industrial competition; the growth of regional dominant industries play an important role on the growth of modern regional economy. As an undeveloped provincial area, YunNan is under the industrialization stage, industry is very important for the development of YunNan. The development level of YunNan economy depends on the development of industry. But the development of YunNan industry is relatively lagging, the concentration degree of industry is low, the extension of industry chains is not enough long and the development is unbalanced, the benefit is not good. In order to achieve the goal of strengthening our province by industrialization and conquer all kinds of difficulties that exist in industry development, accelerate the process of industrialization, it's necessary to select and develop dominant industries, and through their radiative and driving effects to prompt the economic development of the total region. Selecting and developing dominant industries is satisfied the objective requirement of economy at present, it's active for promoting in grade of industry structure, expanding the space of obtaining employment, accelerating economy to develop persist, enhancing the ability to adapt the environment of economy development and participating in economy cooperation of whole world. At same time, YunNan also has the foundation to enhance its economic strength by developing industry, it has abundant mineral resources, energy resources and unique natural condition. Now that we want to change resources superiority into economic superiority and achieve the goal of strengthening our province by industrialization, we must accelerate the development of industries, we must bring the radiative and driving effects of dominant industries into play to prompt the economic development of the total region.At first, this thesis analyzes the background and significance of selecting dominant industries. Then it makes a comment on interrelated concepts and theories of dominant industries, analyzes the factors of dominant industry, the select principles and restraint, puts forward the quantitative and qualitative standard criteria and appraisal indexes. The thesis constructs the model of selecting dominant industries, make 37 sectors of industry as sample, choose 9 indexes, use SPSS software and adopt factor analysis method to carry out quantitative analysis. Then it integrates qualitative analysis to select Tobacco Production, Electric Equipment and Machinery Manufacturing, Mining industry, energy industry as dominant industries. At last, the thesis puts forward some suggestions on developing these industries.
