Shandong Province Of Urban Residents' Consumption Structure Change Trend Analysis

As the country's 11^th Five-Year Plan with votes close to unanimity, increasing domestic demand has been the basic foothold and long-term strategy, which would steadily promote the national economic development. The power to accelerate the economic growth is not investment but consumption. However, the increase of investment and consumption are imbalance in China. The inadequacy of consumption becomes a Gordian knot during the economic development and it is the most important problem which needs to be solved. Nowadays, firstly, high national saving rate and huge market potential supply enough material condition for the domestic demand increase; then, the lag of industry structure, distribution structure and consumption policy do harm to the economy growth, which requires the demand increase; therefore it is a possible and necessary method for us to push the national economy forward depending on the demand increase in the domestic market.It is pointed out in the central economic conference that the keypoint of increasing domestic demand is increasing the resident consumption. In terms of the theory, consumption structure is the embodiment of consumption demand; consequently it is necessary that the research should start with the consumption structure investigation.
