| The transportation shipping industry in China is facing the problems of supplies insufficiency and constitutive contradiction with the increasing of travel demand. To solve these problems, the thesis tries to do research on the total quantity and structure of the travel demand in China, in order to increase the capacity of the transportation system and provide references to the planners.The thesis first analyzes the basic theory of travel demand from economic angle, proposes important problems in travel demand analyzing from the basic concept, characteristic and structure of the demand. Then the paper analyzes the travel demand in China from two aspects. One is the total quantity researching, which includes three parts: analyzing the changing of transportation market in China to know its tendency; discussing the function of passenger demand to understand the latent demand; comparing the usual kinds of models of freight need studying to give references to relative study. The other one is the structure researching, which also includes three parts: studying the expense psychology of the customers to analyze the principle of customer's choice; analyzing the structure in different transportation ways of demand in China on the base of the historical material, in order to study its tendency, propose strategies and promote its development; profiting from other fields, establishing the level structure drawings of passenger demand and freight need according to the special details in China, analyzing the drawings' characteristic and proposing the corresponding strategies to develop the transportation system. |
