International Factoring has remarkable advantages in contrast to traditional manners of settlement like LC and D/A and D/P. However, Chinese clients merely know a little about International Factoring and the operation personnel are not familiar with it. In addition, Chinese banks are trying to limit their risks and the governmental policies also have influence on it. Therefore, International Factoring cannot be spread widely in China. Definitely, this cannot be in accordance with our need. To analyze possible reasons and then to find out solutions are the most important motivations for me to write this thesis.This thesis is divided into six parts. Chapter One is an introductory part which includes research background, research purpose, research significance and literature review. Chapter Two is a summary of International Factoring, including its definition, its function, its category and its operation flow, in order to make the readers have a brief understanding on it. Chapter Three, which is one of the important parts of my thesis, intends to enunciate that it is very urgent to develop International Factoring. This chapter is divided into four sections. It first states the importance and competing advantages of International Factoring in international trade. Through analyzing its advantages for competing with other manners of settlement and the alike and analyzing its cost and considering the participants who take part in the market, it conclude that International Factoring has great advantages, comparing with other products alike.
