Sichuan - Asean Tourism Service Development Factors Based On Iit's Countermeasures

Today, economic globalization is developing fast in the world. There is a new phenomenon in world economy, which is regional trade liberalization. Regional trade organizations are more and more active today. As one of the trade leading countries in the world, China is enthusiastic to join regional economic cooperation today. In 2001, China and ASEAN discussed the issues of regional economic cooperation and finally came to an agreement to build the CAFTA in 10 years. Trade in tourism services is one of the key issues in the agreement and both of them will reinforce tourism cooperation in the near future. Undoubtedly, this is a historical opportunity for Sichuan to develop its tourism industry, especially international tourism industry and it is probably to make Sichuan one of the tourism leading provinces in China.Based on the background of development of CAFTA and trade in international tourism services, ChapterⅠelaborates the background, significance, research history, methodology, innovation and the structure of this research. ChapterⅡintroduces the IIT theory, the history and the current situation of trade in international tourism services, and puts forwards the conception of IIT in international tourism services. ChapterⅢcalculates the G-L index of the tourism IIT between Sichuan and ASEAN, and then discusses the key factors that have remarkably influences on the tourism IIT between Sichuan and ASEAN. ChapterⅤputs forward the strategies of develop the tourism between Sichuan and ASEAN. As for the government, it should reinforce communication and cooperation with ASEAN as well as adjust the policy of the outward tourism appropriately. As for tourism corporations, they should develop more differentiated products, build corporation groups and improve their abilities of multi-national operation.The main purpose of this paper is to research the trade in international tourism services based on IIT theory which is significant to the inward tourism as well as the outward tourism.
