East Asian Economic Regionalism And The Japanese Factor Study

Regional cooperation and globlisation have become the two main trends of the currentworld economic development. Most of the countries and regions in the world havejoined in different kinds of regional cooperation and signed a lot of Regional TradeAgreements. Due to some of the reasons, the process of the regional economic cooperation in the East Asian region goes slowly and falls behind comparing to the other regions. Upon entering the new century, the step of the economic cooperation in the East Asian region has clearly been quickened. More and more countries are participating and the cooperation scale is becoming more and more wide. It can be said that the East Asian Region is one of the most dynamic regions in the economic cooperation at the present world. At the beginning of the new century, people are happy to see that the economic cooperation in East Asian region has been further strengthened, and the regional cooperation organization and system are consolidated as well. Economic and trade cooperation among these countries have achieved new progress.Japan has a prominent status and function of being a provider of the advanced technology and the important mediator in the development of the eastern Asia's economy. As the big economic power which arised earliest in east Asia region, Japn has the great push-forward functions in the deepenning development of the rising of the economy of east Asia and the separation of the industries. Comparing to the important functions and status in the economy of east Asia, Japan'attitude toward its histoy causes lots of difficulties in the regional cooperation of east Asia. Therefore, Japan still need lots of efforts to smoothly carry out regional ccooperation policy. The key point I think is that Japan should have a right attitude toward its history of invasion in the second world war. If Japn has a right attitude toward its history in the second world war, Japan's status in the east Asia will be improved greatly, which also can be favor to pushing forward the development of the regional cooperation of east Asia.
