| County-centered economy, administrative division economy on a county level, is an important part of national economy, and also the base of national economy. Considering the fulfillment of grand goal to build a society with a moderate level of prosperity, the development of rural areas is regarded as importance and difficult point, and county development is a key. Because of vast territory and the impact of history, location of areas, system, policies, nationality, religion, concept and the like between areas, serious imbalance has taken place in socioeconomic development, especially in county-centered economy. In terms of overall scale, land areas, the proportion of population, total economic volume, county-centered economy in the areas of minority nationality plays an important role in the whole system of county-centered economy and even in national economy. With backwardness in county-centered economy, the areas of minority nationality have severely influenced healthy, rapid, coordinated development of national economy.With the analysis of opportunities, advantages and current problems existing in the development of county-centered economy of ethnic regions, the purpose of this paper is to probe and study how the areas of ethnic minorities realize leapfrog development within a short period by drawing on the experience of advanced areas, making use of comparative and latecomers advantages, selecting appropriate developing strategy, pioneering and innovating. The paper consists of three chapters. Chapter one is about the present situation and problem in the development of county-centered economy of ethnic regions. It mainly analyzes opportunities faced, advantages and existing problems in the development of county-centered economy in ethnic areas. Chapter two is about the strategy and methods to speed up the development of county-centered economy of ethnic areas. Chiefly it discusses about the strategy to accelerate the development of county-centered economy of ethnic regions by employing such economic theory as absolute and comparative advantages.
