Today, the whole world marketplace contest being increasingly intense, so business will struggle for the living and development room and have to strengthen the strategy administration to breed the long-term competitive advantage. But the message that the traditional cost management has supplied for the strategic decision serve can not successfully support for the business's drawing up and implementing strategy, so it doesn't adapt to the strategy administration. We must transform the cost view point, widen the cost management content and improve the cost management means and level.Combining the cost management viewpoint with the enterprise strategy has become the new tendency of modern cost management, arising at the historic moment the strategic cost management theory is advancing and the consummating modern cost management system unceasingly. Strategic cost management is that the business would underway the cost analysis and the cost management for obtaining and maintaining the competitive advantage, making up the defect of traditional cost management and enriching cost management theory and means.
