The Evaluation Of Intellectual Capital And Its Related Research, And Competitive Advantage

Intellectual Capital was brought forward by Galbraith, an economist, in 1969. There are two branch concentrated on intellectual capital's study field: management and evaluation. A lot of research reports have proved that evaluation is the base and precondition of effectual management. So this paper choices the evaluation as the question.Many scholars have made researches on the intellectual capital's evaluation. After reading the literatures, the author deems that, former researches only emphasize particularly on intellectual capital's evaluation, but ignored the influence of intellectual capital upon competitive advantage. On the basis of integrating Chinese and foreign scholars'empirical studies about intellectual capital evaluation, the author also deems that many evaluation indexes are too complexity to carry out. So, the author attempts to do some researches on intellectual capital's evaluation and the influence of intellectual capital upon competitive advantage.This paper is made up of two parts: theory research part and demonstration research part. The first part is qualitative analysis, the second part is quantitative analysis. With the he1p of the questionnaire and the statistic software, the thesis has quantified the interrelation among the factors. In one words, this thesis use the method which linking qualitative and quantitative, theory research and demonstration research. Theory research part is form chapter 1 to chapter 5. On the basis of integratingChinese and foreign scholars'studies results, this thesis firstly raises three components of intellectual capital: human capital, structural capital and market capital. Then, the author put forwards new measure factors system base on former researcher's conclusion, designs new measure model by matter element evaluation model. Lastly, based on the theory that"intellectual capital is the origin of competitive advantage", the author analyze the influence of intellectual capital upon competitive advantage.Chapter 6 is demonstration part.
