Yunnan In The Lancang - Mekong Sub-regional Logistics Countermeasures

In the 21st century, the Lancang river and Mekong river sub-region cooperation is in the ascendant, which is just same as the great Mekong river surging forward. Being the main province participating in sub-region cooperation in China, Yunnan province advanced the cooperation in a lot of regions actively and has made a great deal of achievements. With developing, the cooperation affects Yunnan on economy and society. Especially, with the construction of sub-regional logistics system, the development of trade and investment cooperation and the promotion of the Yunnan economy, the Logistics of Yunnan faces new requirements. Besides, with the development of economic globalization and information technology, Modern Logistics has been the importantly fundamental industry and the new growing point of the world economy. China has emphasized the development of Modern Logistics and Yunnan, conforming to the tendency, should develop Modern Logistics to promote the economy developing rapidly and continuously. So, the research subject is the countermeasures of Logistics in Yunnan in the process of sub-region cooperation. The sub-region cooperation is formed in the conditions of economic globalization and the integration of regional economy. It has three differently cooperative mechanisms and it will last long. China attaches great importance to it and participates actively. Yunnan province, being the main province participating in it in China, participates in it in many areas. It has effect on economy, society and so on, especially on Logistics. It is of realistic meaning to develop Logistics in Yunnan. Based on conceptions and fundaments about logistics, referring to data from statistical yearbook and other reference books, the paper discusses the current situations of Logistics in Yunnan in the aspects of infrastructures, facilities, objects, human resource, logistics enterprises etc. And then the paper analyzes the main problems of Logistics in Yunnan. Quantitative analysis is necessary and the paper uses two methods to forecast logistics demand in Yunnan. One is roughly calculating of logistics cost, the other is linear regression analyzing of total volume of freight transported. The results prove that logistics demand in Yunnan keeps increasing and it is necessary to develop Logistics in Yunnan. Furthermore, better conditions is needed for the development of Logistics.
