In the entrepreneurship domain in the past ten years, the research is one of the empirical researches on entrepreneurial leadership. In the past researches, entrepreneurial leadership has rarely been discussed yet, especially for Chinese firms. Qingdao is one of the regions in China, where entrepreneurial activities are always prospering, to which the entrepreneurs and the scholars have paid much attention for many years. It is the excellence enterprises and entrepreneurs in Qingdao that attract so much attention. On the basis of GLOBE program, the research attempts to explore the characteristic of Qingdao entrepreneurial activity from the perspective of entrepreneurial leadership and define the entrepreneurial model of Qingdao, by probing the relationships among entrepreneurial leadership (EL), entrepreneurial orientation (EO), entrepreneurial performance (EP). On the other hand, the research also does some comparisons between entrepreneurial leadership, transformational leadership, team-oriented leadership and value-based leadership emerging recently. The research starts with the review of the previous literatures and summarizes the concepts and models of EL. After two groups of interviews and a case study, an empirical research is brought forward on the basis of the firsthand data collected from different types of firms in Qingdao. In the research, the dimensions of EL, and the complicated relationships among EL, EO and EP have been examined. At the same time, the moderating effects of environmental dynamism among the relationships of EL, EO and EP have been paid much attention. The results show that entrepreneurial firms have more EL characteristic than unentrepreneurial firms, and the firms in different market status or developmental stages are different in EL characteristic, but not all significantly. The positive relationship between EL and EO, and the positive relationship between EL and EP are strongly supported. EL only positive affects 'innovation' and 'proactiveness' significantly. Except 'absorbing uncertainty' and 'path-clear' influencing EP directly, the other factors of EL influence EP indirectly by affecting EO. The relationship between EO and EP is partly supported and only the factors 'innovation' and 'proactiveness' have high correlation with EP. The moderating effects of environmental dynamism among the relationships of EL, EO and EP have also been examined.
