With the development of rural economy in Jiangsu province and the advancement of urbanization construction, especially in 2004, after the implementation of the right to the contracted management of rural land circulation method in Jiangsu province, rural land circulation has become increasingly active, especially in the southern Jiangsu, which regional economic develop rapidly, vigorous development of township enterprises provides farmers with good jobs. Non-agricultural employment choice diversification makes the farmers less dependent on land. Land circulation prompted farmers to flow from rural to urban areas in the non-agricultural industry, and the diversification of rural employment choice also promote the circulation of rural land. Farmers’ continuous flow in the process of land circulation in southern Jiangsu, promoting the comprehensive development of social economy in the areas of southern Jiangsu, accelerating regional social transformation greatly and changing rural social structure at the same time, peasants’ life style, mode of production has undergone profound changes. Land circulation background, the modern farmers turn to speed up, can greatly promote the rural modernization.Analysis and research rural social changes under the background of the land circulation in southern Jiangsu, help us understand China’s national conditions further, to better promote modernization of farmers in the process of the rural modernization; To accelerate the construction of new agricultural management system, push forward the rural land system reform steadily, promote the agricultural structure adjustment further, promote rural of the fusion of the first, second and third industry development; Institute the mechanism to improve the integration of urban and rural development. Taking C&H&L villages respectively in Liyang, Yixing and Wujiang as sample, through the case study method, to inspect the present situation and effect of land circulation, to explore the change of farmers’ living condition, social structure and economy structure under the background of the land circulation in southern Jiangsu.Analysis the obstacles in the process of modernization is to explore path of the modernization of rural areas under the background of land circulation in the southern Jiangsu, to promote farmers’ modernization in the process of the rural modernization.
