China and India are two of Asia’s largest developing and Neighboring country, there is a long history of economic and trade cooperation between us, China has become India’s largest trading partner by the end of September 2015. In addition, with the scale of the India’s trade deficit with China gradually expanding, Indian official concerns and complaints, India’s trade protection also gradually increases, as a result, India’s anti-dumping investigation against our country and bilateral trade conflict increase speedly, which do harm to the long-term economic and trade cooperation between India and our country. At the same time, China’s large trade surplus with India is a representative example of China’s overall foreign trade surplus, a certain degree of trade surplus is good for China’s foreign exchange income and industry development, but too much trade surplus may make our country become a sacrificial lamb victim in the anti-dumping investigation, which will hinder the development of China’s export enterprises in the long term. In addition, such a huge trade surplus also makes The RMB bear more upward pressure in foreign exchange market and may bring about inflation.Under such background, it is of great significance to make deep and further study of the characteristics and the reasons of trade imbalances for understanding the imbalances correctly and seeking the way of making trade balance. Looking for ways to balance the bilateral trade, can meet India’s interests demands as well as do good to our steady development of economy and be conducive to promote long-term economic and trade cooperation relationship with India.
