With the development of global informationization, the competitiveness of industrial cluster has gradually become the most characteristic and economic organization form, the economic effect of industrial cluster in the regional economy and play a key role in the development of a country’s economy, has become the important driving force of the development of the world economy. China’s industrial cluster development rapidly, but still mainly in the form of an extensive, export-oriented development, can’t adapt to the requirements of the knowledge economy era, under the impact of the financial crisis, the development of industrial cluster is in trouble, in order to alleviate the economic pressure, it is necessary to upgrade the industrial clusters. This paper argues that the industrial cluster has the core technology and strong cluster brand, form the core competitiveness of industrial cluster, is the important way to realize industrial cluster upgrading. The construction of the cluster brand can help differentiation to form industrial cluster advantage, professional advantage and scale advantage. The cluster enterprise cluster brand is shared resources, cluster brand and enterprise brand through benign interaction, forming a long-term, stable, relative monopoly of intangible assets, efficient drive regional economic growth. In the era of knowledge economy, represented by knowledge, skills,such as brand of intangible assets is becoming more and more important in the position and role of the market competition, enhance independent innovation ability, enhance the brand awareness has become adjust the industrial structure and promoting industrial cluster to upgrade the important choice.The content of the thesis is divided into six aspects: the first part is introduction, mainly introduces the background and significance of thesis, abroad about industrial cluster, the upgrading of industrial cluster and cluster brand research, domestic scholars study of cluster brand, introduce the method and framework, etc.; Introduce the theoretical basis for the second part is relevant, brands, intellectual property, intellectual property rights, the upgrading of industrial cluster, the concept of cluster brand and related theoretical basis; Third part is to analyze the current the current situation and characteristics of industrial clusters, industrial cluster mode as well as the problems existing in the upgrade process to upgrade; The fourth part is discussed based on intellectual property brand of industrial cluster upgrading path analysis,cluster analysis based on intellectual property brand advantage, different types of cluster brand development model of industrial clusters, and cluster brand on the integration of resources,optimization of the cluster, promote the leap-forward development of cluster value chain; The fifth part is about the Qingdao home appliances industry cluster upgrading the empirical analysis,introduced the general situation of Qingdao home appliances industry cluster analysis ofQingdao household appliance industry cluster and the cluster brand, find the existing problems,and summarize the experiences of Qingdao home appliances industry cluster upgrade; The sixth part is the conclusion and policy recommendations.The innovation of this article lies in the following aspects: one is based on intellectual property advantage theory, analysis of the influence on industrial clusters, cluster brand construction to study the effect of cluster brand and upgrading of industrial cluster mechanism;Second is home appliance industry cluster of Qingdao as the research object, by using data analysis on the relationship between the industrial cluster and the cluster brand empirical research; Three is in the past the study of industrial cluster upgrading and cluster brand, mostly based on single enterprise as a case, the development of the research from the perspective of brand marketing brand for the importance of the enterprise, the lack of necessary theoretical support, based on intellectual property advantage theory analysis of cluster brand and the mechanism of industrial cluster, broke the past only research the situation of a single enterprise,has important significance for further study of industry cluster upgrading.
