An Analysis Of Local Protectionism In The Policy Of New Energy Vehicle Promotion

Recent years, the government encourages the development of new power vehicles in China in order to develop the new power, new technology and protect the environment. Because the market is out of order, with the success, the government involved in it, setting the subsidies policies, stimulating the consumption. However, local protection is appeared in the processes of the implementation of local subsidies policies, although it promoted the development of local economy. On the other hand, when it comes to a long term, it is disadvantageous to the progress of the new technology, the enthusiasm of the local companies, a fair competition and the purchase of consumers. Thus, it is quite significant to research the related issues of local protection in the subsidies policies of new power vehicles for its future development in China, the government’s public policies, and even for the accumulation of the experience of Chinese distinctive policies making.Based on the clarity of the policies and the implementation, this thesis focuses on the detailed research of the problems in local protection for the application of new power vehicles on the aspects of the reasons, appearing methods, its positive and negative influences. Last but not the least, relating to the practical situation, the suggestions for abolishing the local protection and the development strategies on new power vehicles are put forward in this thesis as well.
