Research On The Construction Of Competency Evaluation System Of CE Business Manager And The Countermeasures

During the development of economic globalization, the economic environment of enterprises has been changed tremendously, and the management environment also transformed resolutely. Fierce competition among enterprises becomes increasingly fierce, thus business environment is facing to more and more uncertain factors. In the enterprise management, the level of management stuffs has become the key point to ensure its competitiveness. As a state-owned foreign trade enterprise that collects "Business, Industry, Technology and Finance" by itself, CE Company has been dedicating to domestic and international engineering contracting projects, import and export business for complete sets of equipment and other products. In recent years, CE Company has been to adapt the requirement of enterprise development which is able to enhance the management level and improve the ability and the quality of business manager, absolutely that is particularly important.In this thesis, business manager is researched for the object of study through building the evaluation system of business manager competency, to improve management quality and ability and fulfill requirement of business development, so it will effectively promote the enterprise strengthen. First, it is showed the summary of the related competency theory. Secondly, based on the enterprise development strategy, the thesis will set up position responsibility, then investigate the business manager of CE Company and get competence status through the questionnaire survey, and make analysis of the existing problems in the business manager competency. After that, it will determine the initial competency factors through the methods of literature review, expert opinion, behavioral event interview. Through project analysis and factor analysis of questionnaire data for CE business manager competency, it can clear and definite competency evaluation system factor, built up the CE Company business manager competency evaluation system. At the same time it also survey and evaluate the status of ten business managers’competency in CE Company according to the 360 evaluation method. And the competency evaluation system can be verified accurately by the survey results. Finally, the application of competency evaluation system in the enterprise development strategy should be implemented mainly through three aspects of selection and recruitment, organizational training and performance appraisal. In addition, it also proposes the countermeasures to improve the competency of business manager in CE Company from the management ability, innovation ability and communication ability.This thesis enriches the related competency content in theory, promotes practical guiding function for CE Company business managers competency in practice. This research result offers certain reference function for the construction of business manager competency in similar enterprises.
