Biometrics is a technique,that through the computer with a variety of sensors,biometric principle and other high-tech technique closely integrated,use the inherent human physiological characteristics and behavioral characteristics,to carry out the identification of personal status. This new technology can be applied to homeland security,social welfare,financial and e-commerce. Biometric is becoming the highest Potential technology in this era. Palm print recognition exploits the defective information on our palm to separate different Persons. Different Palm shaves totally different palm prints. In other words, palm print is unique. Therefore, it can be used for Personal identification. The advantages of palm print recognition are direct,friendly,convenient,unique and apply wildly. This dissertation concentrates on the research of the key technologies and algorithms in palm print identification system. According to the detail research of other biometrics, and considering the characteristics of palm prints,we Propose a series of efficient palm print preprocessing,feature extraction algorithms. In detail,this dissertation concentrates on there search of the following key. By studying the orientation, the feature extraction, classification and the matching of palm print, the dissertation brings forward a series of methods, which are robust and fit to the analysis of palm print. The main approaches are as follows:Firstly, in the aspect of the preprocess of palm print image,we focused on the essential technologies of palm print identification of color adjustment,we pro-posed a statistical method to filter out splash. Based on this technologies,this paper had done some preprocessing to the palm print images. After translated the original image into binary image,found two key positioning point sin the palm print image using automatic detecting method. Then the palm print image was rotated according to the two key positioning points.Finally,this paper research PCA pivotal technology of the palm print identification technology with great concentration and painstaking,and take improvement and innovation on the basis of their algorithm. That is aiming at that classical PCA algorithm is not applicable to the classification,and the experiments in this paper, classifying those eigen value that take sample dispersion within the category of smaller,and take sample dispersion between the category of larger,to describe that the original palm print images. Following experiments show that this improved algorithm will not be lost original information,and to a certain extent enhance the recognition rate. The final experiment combine the improved PCA algorithm with FLD algorithm,that is after disposing of improved PCA algorithm,take the extraction of palm print images in independent component, the experiment results indicate that the proposed algorithm provides better performance compared with FLD algorithm.
