Based On Ethernet Within The Network Monitoring System Design And Implementation

This thesis is based on the Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN) as an important information platform for the present development of enterprise informationize construction. Security issue and hidden danger are followed by LAN, although it brings lots of information exchange to share. In the wake of the lifting position of the rapid network expansion and information management with the routine work in enterprise and public institute, the more attention value in how to protect the confidential information in LAN mainframe, to guard network attack,to value network threat and to control network resource effectively, so it becomes significant that the function of LAN monitoring system plays in the LAN security.The LAN monitoring technique based on Ethernet mainly including the scanning of network mainframe, network sniffer, data packet protocol analysis, port scanning and analysis. LAN monitoring system need two types of capital Ethernet circumstance, to which refer sharing and exchanging that can carry out network monitoring and network security scanning.The basic function in this research including the discussion of LAN monitoring technique based on Ethernet; the construction of LAN monitoring system; the implementation of designing and coding in detail to the LAN monitoring system.At the last, this research test the system, the result was that every function and performance got the expecting aim, and through the testing analysis to summarize the advantage and disadvantage with the system. It shows the next research direction and idea in the development of LAN monitor system.
