| Distance education is the primary means for people's life-long learning in modern society. It is also a new essential education system with the times.With the development of modern communication technology, network technology and multimedia technology, distance education system is getting continuous and rapid development. How to maximize the "Teacher-centered" and "student-centered" teaching model, to seek and design a teaching platform between the two kinds of teaching models, and how to form a two-way interaction between teachers and students perfectly. My paper's investigation and study are focus on the above points.In this dissertation, a modern distance education system was designed and developed in Sanmenxia Polytechnic School. It was realized by adopting non face-to-face online teaching forms and using the computer networks and various multi-media technology to realize the communication between students and teachers with the carry of certain course contents. Its advantages were that questions from the students and answers from the teachers may be free from time and place, embodying the online education system's characters of development, antonomy and interaction. The targets of distance education were expanded to the whole society to receive education, making the educational resources get more favorable integration and use. The teaching form also was changed from teaching-centered to learning-centered.The advanced mutual technology of ASP.NET web network trends and the technology of multimedia were used to support this system. Oracle 10g was used as backstage supporter's database server, based on which the distance education websites of Sanmenxia Polytechnic School was developed. The website system was mainly consisted of students'learning system, teachers'tutoring system,teaching managing system, online self- assessing system . Meanwhile, the authority management and the control of visit on the distance education websites were also tested and researched on this system. |
