Compares information broadcast way which appears early, for example: DVD machine, the single plane broadcast, the VOD server + set-top box, based on the network platform's multimedia terminals have the following function characteristic: They Broadcast the multimedia programs through the network, including the trundle notice, the announcement, the sound video frequency program, flash, PPT, Word, Excel, the graph and so on each kind of form's multimedia information, and can broadcast each kind of media program on a display monitor. In addition, good scalability architecture is compatible with the new media formats, without the need for extra development time and costs. In some medium and small projects, particularly those that require rich content, and support a variety of files, network-based platform for multimedia terminals will have many advantages. With LCD, plasma, LED, projectors and other display terminal prices continuing to fall, multimedia information terminal applications will extend to very quickly, especially cross-regional distribution of more and more. This thesis is part of multimedia information network system, takes based on the multiwindow multimedia information terminal development as the key point, and has conducted the correlation theories research and the technology development; then according to the system structure and function, designs a suitable control mode of communication to ensure customers client can successfully receive and play the file; and studies the conversion between various formats, including how to convert pictures PPT, Word, Excel into Web pages; Finally develops the appropriate terminal software, and puts use.This thesis introduces the key technologies for multimedia information terminals and development environment, which includes TCP / IP protocol, XML programming, multi-threaded programming, commissioning, C / S model, as well as VS2005, .NET, C #, etc; and describes this terminal feasibility analysis, demand analysis and overall design, the feasibility analysis from the function, the cost, the income three aspects carries on the analysis, the demand analysis has determined the function of the terminal , the system design has carried on the the module division; Then introduces the detailed design and implementation of each module, mainly including concrete implementation flows, Class and function design and coding; Finally carries on the test to the software function, looked whether it can meet the corresponding requirements.
