Digital watermarking technique is viewed as the best selection for the copyright protection of digital products at present,but a serious problem,that is, all kinds of attacks that the system may be encountered,should be taken into consideration before the real application of digital watermarking in copyright protection and content authenticationThe digital watermarking technology includes two aspects:digital watermarking algorithm designing and digital watermarking algorithm attacking.The research of digital watermarking algorithm attacking is essential for digital watermarking algorithm designing.It is well known that the digital watermark must have high security and robustness and survive from all kinds of attacks including malicious and unmalicious attacks in the application.However we can always find some potential security problems in previous-presented watermarking algorithms.Adversaries can utilize these security limitations to attack watermarking system.The research of attacking algorithms can help to identify the weaknesses of existing algorithms and to improve them by modifying them accordingly.Author introduces to the model and characteristic of the digital watermarking,and analyses the representative attacks,then make an expectation about the future of the digital watermarking.
