Based Network Fax Paperless Embedded Linux Development

This paper introduces a kind of implementation method and process of non-paper network fax equipment based on embedded Linux, which focused on the principles of fax communication, the huffman compression coding, the control of fax call process, and the control of fax based on embedded Linux.Fax communications is a communication method, which sends still images, such as text, images, photos and so on, through a wired or wireless channel, and reproduces the original still images in the form of record at the receiving end. Among many communication tools, because of the advantages of accurate, rapid, and security features, fax has always been an important tool and can not be replaced in enterprise office work. But all along, people use this important way of communication tools in the traditional mechanical approach, a variety of issues in the use of traditional fax are also increasingly exposed:first, the paper consumption is egregious, the cost stays high; Second, all the manual work are inefficient and fallible; In addition, the fax will accumulate day by day and bring about the confusion of management.Non-paper network fax base upon fax technology, and brings the network technology into the fax field, it subverts the operation method of traditional fax. Non-paper network fax consists of two components, the fax client and the fax server. In the friendly graphical interface of client software, users send a document through fax by entering some simple information like fax number; when a new fax is received, the client software will pop-up a prompt, then user downloads the fax to local computer. The specific processes of fax sending and receiving are completed by the fax server.Non-paper network fax is a kind of communication with the advantage of information-based, high efficiency and low consumption, it makes up the deficiencies of traditional fax.
