Digital array radar uses digital beamforming technology in receiving and transmitting. The key technology in realizing wide-band digital array radar is digital T/R module. No matter what the purpose it is, or which frequency band it works in, every antenna element connects a digital T/R module. In 1995, Adrian Garrod mentioned the concept of digital T/R module. After that, most of countries began to do research in this field.The changes in the characteristic of analog devices and circuits in the element channels will cause the frequency-dependent amplitude and phase difference of receiver channels and transmitter channels in WDAR,which are called channel mismatch. The compensation can be achieved by channel equilibrium in digital T/R module.This dissertation researches a digital experiment module of wide-band digital array radar T/R system which works in S-band. According to the feature of wide-band digital phase array radar, and based on the current hardware situation, the dissertation research the principle and realization of the digital waveform synthesis technology, channel equilibrium and digital down-conversion, in order to find a way to use the hardware resource efficiently, improve the performance of the wide-band digital radar, and reduce the module's power consumption at the same time.First, this dissertation introduces the principle and the architecture of digital T/R module. Then it analyzes some key technologies of wide band digital T/R module, including software radio receiver, Direct Digital Synthesis technology, channel equilibrium, low-power design technology and so on.Then, the dissertation studies the basic algorithm of the time-domain channel equilibrium detailed, analyzes the effects of some important parameters to channel equilibrium and simulates it in Matlab.According to the project's demand and simulation results, the dissertation presents the digital block design of wide band digital T/R, and confirms the important parameters. This scheme uses FPGA as the core to realize the whole system, and then introduces the design of module of channel equilibrium and some related technologies detailed.Finally, with the tools of Matlab and Quartusâ…ˇ8.0,and taking spectrum analyzer and oscilloscopes as the observation instruments, the joint test results of digital block and RF block of T/R module transmitting channel are presented. After analyzing the channel equilibriums'result, we make advanced improvement in using resource based on distributed arithmetic.
