As the prevalence of dielectric loss, material can be heated in microwave field and the high temperature will affect greatly the reliability and the efficiency of microwave system. Whether to avoid the effects of high temperature or not, it is very necessary to understand the laws of microwave heating and the temperature distribution of the medium and its variation.It is not enough to achieve these only by experiments and tests. In fact, it is very difficult to get the internal temperature distribution of the materials through the experimental method. In order to analyze thermal effects of microwave, the author proposed microwave-thermal coupling model. The model can simulate the nonlinear process of heating the dielectric materials. The model can be used to target the design of the microwave heating and high-frequency electronic systems. These efforts can reduce the blindness in the experiment and the human and material inputs. It have importantly practical significance both for industrial production and scientific research, such simulation and analysis methods have a wide range of applications and development prospects in microwave heating technology and other related fields.The content of this article mainly includes following four aspects:1. Established the microwave-thermal model based on the ADI-FDTD, and improved the algorithm of boundary condition of microwave-thermal model.2. Microwave sintering cavity was simulated and optimized for the best cavity structure by using three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software HFSS.3. In order to verify the feasibility of the mathematical model, used the MATLAB software program to establish the physical model for microwave heating, and compared with the experimental data, the results show that the proposed idea is feasible.4. By applying the microwave-thermal model to a practical example of microwave sintering, this paper analyzed the material parameters on the steady-state temperature when the ceramics are sintered at. This method can provide guidance on the microwave heating.
