Radar signal sorting is a key technology of radar reconnaissance. The probability of radar signal sorting becomes an important indicator of radar reconnaissance system performance. In a complex electromagnetic environment, the signal is dense, and signal forms are various. These have posed great difficulties for radar reconnaissance. Modern electronic support measure(ESM) system, Electronic Intelligence(ELINT) systerm, Radar warning receiver(RWR) demand to have abilities of rapid analysis, real-time processing of various radar signals, which is a considerably high demand for the reliability and real-time processing of radar signal sorting.The dissertation focus on the various radar signal sorting algorithms and their engineering realizations to do some work as follow:1. Radar signal sorting parameters are introduced, what roles the various parameters play in the signal sorting are analyzed and the radar signal sorting process block diagram is given.2. A multi-parameter signal sorting algorithm based on Dynamic Distance Clustering(DDC) is proposed. The algorithm cluster signal pulses into several classes by using pulse direction of arrival (DOA), carrier frequency(CF), pulse width(PW), pulse modulation(PM) parameters. Simulations demonstrate that the high sorting probability can be obtained by combining the DDC algorithm with the common sorting algorithm based on time of arrival (TOA). In addition, an improved DDC algorithm is presented to reduce the the computation of clustering algorithm.3. Several signal sorting algorithms base on TOA are studied, the advantages and disadvantages of each method are analyzed. Given pulse repeatition interval(PRI) harmonics and fracture pulse trains that the common sorting algorithms are easy to generate, the pulse trains analysis algorithm is proposed. In the algorithm, two cases mentioned above are judged by analysing the intercept of TOA fitting straight line, and then corresponding pulse sequences are merged to obtain the correct sorting results. The simulations proved that the algorithm enhances the robustness of the common radar signal sorting algorithm and has a better sorting ratio. 4. A wideband digital reconnaissance receiver which applies the signal sorting technique is presented. Firstly, the hardware platform is introduced. Then, a radar signal sorting structure with a practical value is proposed, and the algorithm is implemented on a digital signal processor(DSP) chip. The interfaces between the signal sorting module and other modules are introduced. Finally, system testing results prove that the algorithm is effective and can be realized.
