J2ee Framework And The Full-text Retrieval Technology In The Information Management System

As the development of computer and network technology the information management system also made a huge progress. The traditional C/S architecture does not fit the distributed management element and the gigantic volume of data on the Internet. Under this situation, the B/S based information management system became the standard technology that structures all the information system in every businesses. And this also happened in the student management information system. This thesis comes from my professor's research----the student information management system. The research content is to build the student information management system for our college. During the progress of the system development, I compared the two matured B/S architecture----.net and J2EE. In the end, I chose the more suitable technology----J2EE as the key technology to build my system..In my thesis, I analyzed the layered architecture of J2EE in detail and pointed out the deficiency of the traditional EJB technology in the development of J2EE system. Finally I chose the open-source solution----Struts/Spring/Hibernate to bulid my J2EE student management system. Among them, Struts deals with the response of the user's request, the display of the page and Spring stands at the middle in the J2EE layered system, it deals with the business logic of the student information management system. Hibernate acts as the persistent tools, it implemented all the operation that related with the database. With all this open-source components, the complexity of the system design and the coupling between the layers are reduced remarkably.In my thesis I also made a research about the full-text retrieval technology. I used the open-source full-text retrieval engine----Lucene to implement the full-text retrieval function.The functions that I have implemented the student information system include every aspects that related with the student's studying activity. These functions included students information management, file management, score management and courses selecting. This student information management system basically fulfilled the demand of student management.
