With the rapid development of computer network technologies, Internet has emerged as the default platform for application development. The user's demand of increasing the complexity of applications is beyond the ability of the traditional Web. Now, a technology named RIA (Rich Internet Applications) is using by software developer. The RIA is a platform for network application, it has high interaction and can enrich user's experience.RIA technology allows us to access the rich client application on internet as simply as using the traditional web applications. It satisfies web user's comprehensive experience requirement; it makes presentation tier more powerful. Flex provides an efficient development model which uses MXML for interface design and applies the ActionScript for client logic establishment. Spring is a lightweight framework, which solves many problems in traditional J2EE development. Hibernate is an open source persistent framework, it reduces the complexity of developing database and makes system portable. In this thesis, the author discussed the method of developing internet applications by the RIA technology upon the J2EE platform. And the following works had been finished by:1. Introduce the conception of RIA, the background of the project, and the RIA technical characteristic.2. Analyses the market demand of the display system of securities industries and enterprises and complete the system design.3. Implement the system functions at various levels according to the system design. At the present time, the display system of securities industries and enterprises has been applied in the Web site of NYSE. The system is running steadily in good order.
