Turntable can simulate a variety of aircraft's movements in the air.it has been widely used in aerospace and defense industry. The key part of the turntable is the motion control system.The turntable motion control can be realized by appropriate choice of motion control devices and application of appropriate control algorithm. The accuracy of motion control can be improved through error analysis. These are all the main contents of the turntable motion control.First of all, a mathematical model was build on the basis of the composition of turntable.the model was simulated by MATLAB.and the feasibility of the system design was verified.At the same time Fuzzy Logic Toolbox was used to study the model with the fuzzy PID control algorithm. Then fuzzy PID control algorithm was determined. On the basis of these things, the appropriate motor and core processing chips were choosed, and the hardware and software design of turntable motion control system were completed. The hardware system was composed of peripheral circuits of DSP, position detection and feedback circuit which had a high precision and a dedicated driver circuit; Software system was completed in CCS, PWM waveform and fuzzy PID algorithm were achieved.The correctness of the design was verified through the analysis of the movement datas. Finally, the improvement of turntable and future research directions were discussed.
