With the wide application of wireless communication system, the resource of radio frequency is getting less and less, and the interference is getting stronger and stronger. But people are more particular about the communication quality and transmission bandwidth. In order to enhance the performance of communication system, we need to continually improve and innovate the hardware and communication protocol. The wireless channel, which is the medium of wireless communication, is the key factor of communication quality. So it is meaningful to research the characteristic of wireless channel for the design of communication system. The major work of this thesis is described as follows. Firstly, through reading related literature about wireless channel at home and abroad, the characteristic of the wireless channel is summarized. Secondly, through modeling the channel in time domain, the characters of wave propagation are got. And the impulse response in time domain of channel is obtained by using CLEAN algorithm. Meanwhile, the delay parameter, multipath parameter and path loss are analyzed. Thirdly, through modeling the channel in frequency domain, the response in frequency domain of channel is obtained. Meanwhile, the frequency correlation of the path loss and the frequency selectivity of the channel are analyzed in detail. What's more, the frequency gain of the channel is estimated and the application of Prony algorithm in channel estimation is discussed. Fourthly, the spatial features of channel are estimated and analyzed by CARE algorithm and PRO-VESPA algorithm. Then the two dimensional angle of the multipath signal is estimated according to the spatial feature of the signal. This method can divide the multipath by source. Under the same conditions, the number of signals estimated in this method is the P times to the traditional method, where P is the source number, which can greatly decrease the antenna array elements.
