In fitness tests, the measurement of push-ups and sit-ups is mainly about human motion gestures. Assessment error is always caused by the complexity and uncertainty of the human body postures, and the fuzzy boundaries. Therefore, it's especially necessary to study the measurement of push-ups and sit-ups.Based on the background of Five military personnel Assessment, this paper designed Push-ups and Sit-ups Assess System(PSAS), and conducted needs analysis, designed software and hardware, etc.. This design provided a comprehensive measurement and information collection system based on MEMS and ZigBee wireless communication technology, improved the accuracy and convenience of physical examination, which also made the assessment more standardized and informationized.PSAS consists of the following three parts:Body Posture Measurement Terminal(BPMT), Assessment Controller(AC) and LCD display terminal. BPMT used CC2430 as microprocessor which integrate Zigbee RF module, and used ADXL213 acceleration sensor to get motion gestures. Similarly, AC used CC2430 as microprocessor, which plays the role of control center and data exchange center with Zigbee, RS232,RS485 communication interface. LCD display terminal, based on LPC2103 ARM7 series microcontroller, displays the current assess status with SYB12864 module.The system has already been applied in the physical examination of the PLA. The result shows that the system has high stability and full function, can be promoted in the future.
