At present, Cloud Computing is a hot spot in IT industry, almost every IT company is promoting this newly emerging business model and spending huge mounts of money researching Cloud Computing. With storage system becoming more and more cheap, internet bandwidth higher, processing unit faster, the old assumption that moving computing and storage into the "cloud" is becoming true. Now there is no common interface for Cloud Computing , nor related standard published. IT companies are focusing on building their own "clouds" in different fields including: e-commerce, internet storage, online office, search engine, online map, etc. Among them, search engine is the forefront of these applications. Cloud Computing will play a very important role in the evolution of search engine. Up to now, most search engine company's backgrounds are not "cloudy" yet, there is still much work to do. It is a very good practice to research Cloudy Computing from the characteristics of search engine. This paper introduces the category of traditional search engines and platform, in which we find some problems and places to be improved. We presents a Cloud Computing based search engine platform and related interfaces. We mainly talked about the storage system in such a Cloud Computing environment:1. A consistent Hash algorithm for locating in DHT network, fast and strong.2. A configurable storage system, so that data can be stored in the most suitable way.3. A fully distributed DHT network with ring-replication algorithm4. Semantic search based on CloudAlso this paper discusses some assumption of data handling and the application of Cloud Computing on internet.
