With the rapid development of Internet technology, network information also will rapidly increase. Networks don't only bring people more information, but also greatly increase the Internet business operations and management costs. To solve this problem, people proposes a new type of IT technology development, deployment and business model, which is cloud computing. At present, cloud computing technology has been applied widely in network storage, search engines, distributed computing, electronic commerce, social networking and other fields, and has made rapid development. But, cloud computing has not an authoritative definition and unified standards, major IT companies are doing the research alone in their respective area of business. In the Internet field, the search engine is the forefront of large-scale data processing, cloud computing technology will play an irreplaceable role in its development process. The traditional search engines use keyword matching technology to retrieval, it cannot carry on the search in the true understanding user inquiry intention foundation and lack of semantic. Therefore, the method that people bring cloud computing technology and language processing technology into the search technology and improve the search engine would be a good way.On the basis of introducing the cloud computing and search technology, the shortcomings and deficiencies of traditional search technology and inadequate has been discussed. From research and design point of view, a distributed semantic cloud based search method has been proposed in this thesis and a cloud-based distributed storage system has been researched and designed in this thesis.The advanced nature of this research work is mainly reflected in the following three aspects:(1). Established a consistent hashing algorithm based on virtual ring for data distribution and positioning. Using it, the system will speed up data storage and access, improve system load balancing capabilities.(2). Proposed fully distributed data backup program. By this program, The system can keep the data the synchronization and the renewal, enhances the data the usability, the reliability as well as the security.(3). Proposed cloud-based semantic search. Through cover the semantic layer on the cloud-based distributed storage system, realize semantic search in the DHT network.
