With the development of economy and technology, there are more high-rise buildings, underground buildings and large buildings. Also the threat of fire is increasing and fire protection is playing a more and more important role in people's life. so people begin to design fire protection monitor equipment to protect them from fire. But the existing equipments are not intelligent as they are separated with each other. The alarm capability of equipments is weaken greatly because of people's carelessness. Therefore some equipment with more intelligence and less human participant ion is strongly needed.The research about design and application of the remote monitoring system for urban fire protection is an important element of the development of fire protection cause, also is a research problem connected closely to the practice of the harmonious society development in China. The city fire protection monitor system combines all the fire protection monitor equipments by telecommunication. Ways of control, communication and alarm are all more intelligent. This subject is mainly to design the monitor module, alarm and transmitting data. The system can alarm concerning people and control center when the fire is detected, control center can tele-control the monitor module to collect some spot information then store transmit and display the information on screen of control center server.According to the specific circumstances and the practical need of Nanjing City, in the light of national standards,situation of fire auto-alarming system in buildings and the construction practice of the system, the paper use the project management method to design the construction and application programmed of the remote fire protection monitoring system in Nanjing. The article also carries out a feasibility study for the implementation of the remote fire protection monitoring projects by considering the schedule speed,fund using and construction quality. Finally, the paper brings out the some constructive suggestions for the future commercial operation of system.
