Embedded Linux System Migration And Implementation

Currently, the development based on embedded integrated development environment has become a major development trend in the area of smart home appliances, mobile terminals and digital consumer electronics industry, etc. Embedded integrated developm entt environment can provide a more complete simulation function, and implement synchronous development between embedded application software and embedded hardware. Embedded operating system is the core of embedded systems; in basis of it, embedded system development could reduce the workload of system development, and enhance the portability of embedded application. Software, which make embedded system development more scientific.As an excellent open-source software, Linux operating system has been widely used in embedded systems development since the release Linux1.6.20 was published. The Linux2.6 has improved some functions for embedded systems, so as to enhance real-time performance and portability, support large-capacity memory and micro controller, and improve I/O system. The research projects cover mainly the following aspects:Implementation of cutting of function module in different levels in embedded Linux system, saving of hardware resources, improvement of operational efficiency of software systems which dependded on the target hardware architecture. Research on the cross-compiler, debugger in embedded Linux integrated development environment and file system of generic application middleware.Firstly, the paper introduces the concept and current status of development model of embedded systems; and then details process of kernel boot process and kernel tailoring, and embedded Linux transplant; finally illustrates the generation of tool chain in integrated development environment and current situation of integrated development environment.
