Software resue is a solution to construct a new system by using existed software production or project knowledge, which can avoid repeated work in the software development. It is regarded as a feasible approach to solve the software crisis, promote efficiency and quality of software production. As a kernel technique to support software reuse, software component develops rapidly and becomes a discipline branch of paying close attention to in recent years. In embedded field, it becomes a challenge to develop embedded software efficiently when the functions are more complex. So, it is necessary to use component-based software development in embedded field.A good description is helpful to descript, develop, modify and reuse the component. It is one of key technologies of the component development. At the present, there have been many kinds of component description languages. But, the traditional component description can not accommodate to the component research on the embedded code component description. Especially, no component description language can descript the embedded code component model for smart appliance.The dissertation has comprehensively studied the reusing technology in embedded software development and put forward a code component description language embCDL applied to embedded software development without operating system plat forms. Two important applications are realized in this thesis: (1) the searching on embedded code component; (2) the composition of the embedded code component.The research on the code component description language will provide the theory and technique supports for the application and spread of the component-based development technology in SCM control program development domain.
