Cluster Operations Management Middleware

Traditional job management software has many drawbacks,such as it is used difficultly,Its schedule policy is simple,users must log on the whole cluster system,write job scripts by himself and master the commands of some svheduler.This thesis does research on cluster job management middleware which is based on B/S.The middleware system has good features that it is convenient and easy to use,and it provides extended scheduling policy.This thesis introduces related knowledge of cluster management system and job management system;Make a deep comparison among the architecture of several kinds of job management system and explain how to integrate job management system with Maui by taking example of Torque.This can help extending job schedule policy;Mainly analyzes the main topics and key techniqueof JobManager cluster job management middleware.This middleware system not only realized the basic founctions such as job submitting,job control,node monitoring,but also realized some advanced founctions such as accounting,policy management and application template management.What's more,this middleware also make administrator manage clusters which are deployed with different schedulers easily,they can register new cluster or remove old cluster at any time.It provides a uniform and transparent way for users to submit their jobs.At the same time,it reforms the priority calculating method in Maui on different field,puts forward job self-adapt schedule policy.Finally,the job management middleware has been designed and realized completely.The research and optimized work in this thesis has effectively enhanced scheduling efficiency and system utilization of job management system,met the requirement in different application domain,at the same time it improves work efficiency of users by providing friendly UI.So it has the certain actual value.
