| With the development of digital and information technology, the popularity of digital TV will be a trend for the development of TV industry. The Set-Top-Box (STB) of the digital TV is a typical embedded equipment. In recent years, embedded equipment that is widely used in daily life makes the fast development of embedded system. With the development of the embedded hardware, the perfect function on embedded products is expected by consumers. Especially, the requirement of the high performance embedded graphical user interface is demanded. A full function GUI system is required in more and more embedded systems, such as smart phone, PDA and Set-Top-Box etc. Thus, the research of the key technology of embedded system, which is embedded GUI Technology, becomes more and more important.This project regards the development of a digital satellite Set-Top-Box as the background, does some research and practice of embedded GUI, aiming at implement of a GUI system that is used by the developers of user interface programming. And this GUI system must meet the main requirements of the functions in the condition of the hardware and software in the Set-Top-Box. The main contents are as follows:1.To further understand the concept and functions of Set-Top-Box, the work related to the development of the digital satellite STB software as well as the developing trend of the digital STB. To make a careful analysis and research of the embedded GUI, have knowledge of the concept and development history of the embedded GUI system and also study the position of GUI in the embedded system.2. To have a general design of STB GUI system. Functionally divide it into three modules that are graphics output module, equipment output module and windows object module. Design and realize graphics library function as well as design a flexible, efficient and easy to be explanted way to realize the user interface based on the graphic base function.3. To realize the Set-Top-Box GUI, have a detailed understanding of developing environment of user interface and give a programming example of building an GUI under this system.After the searches and practices, we have managed to develop the GUI module of the digital satellite STB embedded software and pass the test, which provides a stable and powerful developing scheme for the further development. The outcome has been put into practical use and proved to be effective. |
