So the research of the stability for neutral systems is necessary and has been paid much attention.In this paper, the problem of stability for neutral systems is studied by using Lyapunov stability theory and based on the model of states space. The main purpose is to discuss the asymptotical stability of uncertain neutral systems with mixed delays and nonlinear uncertainties, the exponential stability of uncertain neutral systems with mixed delays and nonlinear uncertainties and the asymptotical stability for a class of switched neutral systems. Some results obtained are improved and perfected. This paper mainly includes the following three parts:1. The asymptotical stability of uncertain neutral systems with mixed delays and nonlinear uncertainties are investigated. By dealing with the linear matrix inequalities(LMI) according to the technique of analyzing inequality and constructing appropriate Lyapunov functional, the problem of asymptotical stability for a class of neutral systems are obtained. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.2. The problem of exponentially stability for uncertain neutral systems with mixed delays and nonlinear uncertainties are investigated. Based on using the S-procedure, constructing Lyapunov functional and applying the descriptor system approach, new exponentially stability criteria are obtained and formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI) which can be easy to check the exponentially stability of the considered systems.3. The problem of asymptotical stability for a class of switched neutral systems are investigated in this paper.
