Augmented reality (AR) is a technology in which a user's view of the real world is enhanced or augmented with additional information generated from a computer model. The enhancement may consist of virtual artifacts to be fitted into the environment。Enhancing user's perception of a real environment is the main purpose. In Augmented reality, the 3D virtual mode's reconstruction and rendering have a great effect on user's perception. With the rapid increase in recent years of computer technology, traditional modeling manner have not met needs because creating a 3D model is often a time consuming and an expensive process.To solve this problem, we develop a simple system which can reconstruction 3D model rapidly and accurately from videos camera grabbed, and recover movement state of camera. Following researches have been made based on the system.(1) Camera calibration is a necessary step to recover 3D information from 2D images scene. The paper discusses camera model and calibration methods and implement camera calibration based on zhang's method.(2) To solve mismatching, the classical RANSAC approach is considered for robust matching to remove mismatches (outliers) in a list of putative correspondences. The algorithm is based on a constraint condition of epipolar geometry. According to the constraint, we can obtain Fundamental Matrix which provide foundation for accurate corresponding and obtain robust matching.(3) Improve reconstruct algorithm based on bundle adjustment, and realized that re-estimate motion parameter of camera and scene structure.(4) To solve the problem of 3D surface reconstruction, we make use of triangulation analysis to complete triangulated 3D point of space, texture mapping is also applied to map texture into 3D models, we obtain 3D surface model that is similar to real object.
