With the development of computer, embedded system has been used in national defense, industry, traffic control, energy sources, information technology and civil living, and become a researching focus with one of the hot trends is making it networking. In the practical applications, making embedded system networking should choose different projects based on their characteristics and needs. LwIP is an open source TCP/IP stack whose design emphasis is to use as little RAM as possible while maintaining most functions of TCP/IP stack. So LwIP stack is very appropriate in the embedded system application.μC/OS-II is a famous open source RTOS, but it only consists of real time task schedule and communication kernel, lacking support to peripheral equipment and interface, such as file system, network protocol, and graphic interface. So it is the best chose to transplant the open source TCP/IP stack- LwIP toμC/OS-II system and realize the network connection in embedded system. In this paper, firstly the development of embedded TCP/IP stack is introduced. Comparison of several major embedded TCP / IP stack, LwIP is chosen as the entry point for research and development, there is a particular analysis for the process model, the management of buffer and memory, the API of LwIP, the efficient memory management mechanism of the LwIP is the distillation of design. Secondly, the kernel of embedded RTOSμC/OS-II is analyzed and the process of how to transplantμC/OS-II to the MCF52235 platform is primary expatiated on. Thirdly, the implement of LwIP stack and how to transplant LwIP stack toμC/OS-II system are expatiated on. By the work above, we introduce a new design that can be used in the conversion of the Serial signal and Network Data, embedded system realizes network connection. At last, we proved the correctness of transplant ofμC/OS-II and LwIP, but also the function of the converter is validated, the results show that the converter can implement the data transfer between the serial device and network equipment...
