In recent years, with the rapid development of computer graphics imaging technology, the digital video technology has sophisticated gradually. The non-linear editing systems, whose core is the digital video processing, have become the main tool of film and digital multimedia. In traditional non-linear editing system, the realization of the effects is usually based on the CPU or dedicated boards. However, when the resolution of images is larger, there are more images, and the effects are more complicated, it consumes too much CPU or the board can not be achieved, so that the video is paused or the video transition is not smooth, which is counter to our original intention of increasing the visual effects of works. And the price of the dedicated board is too high. In recent years, with the rapid development of computer technology, a kind of free of card non-linear editing system has appeared, which is based on CPU, GPU and I/O technology, and gradually become the mainstream product of the market. The technology of video editing effect is an important technology of non-linear editing technology. It can be used to enhance the visual effects of the video editing and better express the intention of creators.Video editing effect is known as digital video image effect and is also simply called video effect or digital effect. It is a manufacture method that uses the digital video executing equipment and process the video screen by means of special skills, in order to achieve some kind of screen effect. Any special skill that using digital video manufacture method processes the video screen in the process of video editing and making belong to the scope of video editing effects.Main studies in this thesis are video editing effect technology, including treatment to the ordinary monocular and binocular videos. Ultimately it will be applied to the AVS non-linear editing system. Firstly this paper deeply analyzes some relative video editing effects that include graphic process unit, video editing system, system development platform, and texture mapping. Secondly we introduce every kind of video editing effects algorithm in detail, which includes the linear transformation, non-linear transformation, fuzzy processing. Scaling, mirroring processing, keying all kinds of classified change, fades, flip, scroll pages, etc. Apart from that, in order to control the law of every individual frame image switching, we give the key functions of effect realization, so that we can implement different image switching ways. Thirdly we introduce the whole framework of the system, function interface, and implementation approach. Fourthly we implement the algorithms mentioned above based on GPU and binocular video editing effects. At the basis of experiments, this paper presents a kind of data processing accelerative algorithm in generation of video editing effectsThe main innovation in this paper is that all the video editing effects are implemented basing on the GPU. It enhances the video editing efficiency and implements the binocular edit video effect.
