Through the research and comparison of mature materials database at home and abroad, according to the business needs of manufacturing field, designed and implemented the material search platform. The platform supports integration of different materials, and provides a wide variety of search methods to meet different users' demand.First, in accordance with mechanical engineers and architectural engineers need, came up with the search platform of the design objectives, and gave the overall framework design based on this goal. Designed three-tier distributed services architecture (WS-BL-DA) on the basis of 3/N-tier architecture. Use AOP technology to separate the business logic and common module logic. Meanwhile, in view of the existing materials followed different data structure and standards, defined a common data structure of materials. Adopt object-oriented database design to improve the material database scalability and maintainability.Secondly, through the SQL SERVER 2005 full-text search feature, text search was implemented in the realization of the system. According to the features of clustered index and non-clustered index, gave out a feasible design solution. Described the search module in detail and defined a unified search interface. In addition, to improve overall system performance, a paging algorithm was addressed to the search results and the application of Lucene was brief described. To balance the overload on the system used server cluster technology.Finally, throughput ability test and concurrency test were given and the test results were analyzed and concluded. In addition, summarized the work of this paper and looked forward to the prospect of material database technology.
