Shanghai Telecom Company proposes to construct an information system, Shanghai Telecom Fault Dealing Platform, to standardize its daily fault accepting and dealing process, in response to the requirements of Operation Support System (OSS) from China Telecom Group. The system, targeting resolving common-encountered inner network faults and outer user-reporting faults in its daily operations, is represented in Web form and contains all the processes of Shanghai Telecom fault dealing business. Effectively and timely it also implements fault transfer among the related departments and generates business reports on schedule.First, the system's function orientation, core functions and system processes are identified according to the business actuality of Shanghai Telecom fault accepting and dealing; based on this, the general system architecture is designed, the designs and implemetations of the web-based subsystem of fault monitoring, the subsystem of fault dealing and the subsystem of report, the subsystem of interface communication platform design are analized. Thereinto, the system architecture design and the subsystem of interface communication platform are emphasized.
