Porous silicon possesses special micro-structure and evident quantum confined effect, in which lots of researchers are interested and have done a large number of works about it. The discovery of photoluminescence characteristic of porous silicon means the probability of whole silicon based optoelectronic integration, which is of very important industry application potential. This paper is divided into two parts: the former 4 chapters, mainly summarizes the basic knowledge about the preparation methods, nucleation mechanism, post-disposal technology, photoluminescence principles and device applications. Chapter 5 and chapter 6 are about our research arguments, including : the study on the blue light emission of porous silicon with graphite as electrode, being focus on the PL spectrum effect of different current density and corruption times with silicon wafers of high and low resistivity, and the theoretical deduction about the grating effect of porous silicon. However, we introduce the results of others' to explain these phenomena.
