With the advancement of science and technology, the development of measurement technique is getting more and more important. The combination of computer technology and technology of test instruments results with the appearance of a new test instrument, virtual instruments(VI). Various measurement and test instrument are required to accomplishmore and more complicated jobs in measuring and monitoring, and the demand for measure technology and test equipment is getting higher. VI is based on PC platform, and canmake use of the software and hardware resource sofa PC. Compared with its ability of data processing and flexibility, VI has alow Price,which means it is a good choice for research and teaching reform in universities.This thesis is based on Labview platformand is a system of on-line monitoring the cutting force of numerical control machine. It concludes the the data acquisition, storage, alarmand real time monitoring of cutting force and analyzing of cutting force. At the same time,the system has provided abundant data analysis functions,and can carry on the detail explanation to the system data analysis function. Having introduced the data returns put,dataprocessing and data analysis. In the part of data analysis, includes filtering,DFT and so on. In the end of the paper ,the system is proved through monitoring the signal of turning force. Thus the system is use and reliable.According to turning45# steel cutting experiment, carry on the analysis of data resultreaching the general law of cutting,and verify the reliability of the system of this development further,and has markedperfect this system by way of applying this software.
