Railway transporting plays an important role on modern transport system. Bearing is a key part of vehicle equipment. To avoid the railway accidents aroused by rolling bearing faults, it needs to start with two aspects. On the one hand, we need discovering and solving the problem in the running by dynamic monitoring. On the other hand, we should proceed strict detecting including inner and outer diameter, radial and axial clearance to ensure quality. Bearing clearance and relative dimension measurement becomes a hot topic.In this paper, we develop a distributed intelligence measuring system for inside and outer diameter, radial and axial clearance of bearing with high measuring accuracy, good generality, stable and reliable, easy to operate, and accuracy reaches 0.01μm. The design of system contains two parts of master system and slave system., master system is used for managing slaves, displaying and printing data. The function of master managing software is to stably and reliably communicate with slaves and no-interference each other, real-time display and store received data and print by requiring of user. The salve system consists of three parts: data collection module, MCU control system and input and output module. Data collection module includes LVDT sensor, the secondary signal conditioning circuit (AD698) and A/D converter(ADS7813). Input module adopts 4*4 matrix keyboard, and absorbs the thought of using software displace hardware to fulfill a good many function and make the input function getting good many explanting. Using MCU control system as core to collect data, process and display, it uploads to PC and completes communication with user and control motors turning. We adopt RLC filter to remove the ripple voltage appearing in the secondary signal conditioning circuit caused by switch power and get a good improving for the input signal of A/D converter.Using the thought of one-level addressing and second-level addressing, the system quite implements classification displaying for menu in the design of software menu algorithm for the less flexibility of pointer function.Radial basis function neural network is used to compensate the non-linearity of LVDT sensor, detailed described simulation process by MATLAB, given the results and gained good linearity output., solved the problems of LVDT sensor non-linearity in the actual measure due to temperature, humidity and others factor.Master data collection and manage software is designed based on VC++ and system communication model is set up by combining eight serial port multi-user card and RS485 standard. Multi-serial port communicate algorithm is emphatically researched. ADO data-base accessing technology is adopted and the method is improved .It is put .h and .cpp files into DLL which is integrated by CAdoCommand, CADODatabase and CADORecordset and gets add, delete and inquiry easily.In the end of this paper, we sum up the main studies and take an outlook for further research.
