With the deep cut process of nuclear weapon, it is an important that confirming the dismantled nuclear warhead according to. The study on the nuclear disarmament verification technologies is an important technological preparation for our participating in the further deep nuclear disarmament. It is concerned to the national security interests.Because of specific characteristics of nuclear materials, which are that theγ-ray of nuclear weapon reflects the features of nuclear weapon, a template to authenticate Plutonium warhead based onγ-ray spectrum is considered probable.The template technology is only used to authenticate a Plutonium warhead. Depending onγ-ray spectrum data of nuclear weapon sets up a template for type of nuclear weapon. In same conditions, to compare the data of a measured object with the data of template in order to judging whether the measured object belong to the type of template.In this thesis, the key problem is to establish a template configuration, to extract characteristics data, and to set up a matching algorithm.1) With component matching and structure matching, to recommend a process for the system of template technology. It can simplify difficulty of analyzingγ-ray spectrum, and improve effectiveness and reliability of matching algorithm.2) Analyzing full-energyγ-ray spectrum of nuclear weapon, the count of the sub-energy area containing characteristics peak is used to characteristics data set of template, which can reflect a certain features of nuclear weapon.3) Providing two characteristicsγ-ray of component and seven characteristicsγ-ray of structure, which is the most show the change of nuclear weapon. These characteristicsγ-rays are used to set up the characteristics data set of component and structure matching.Finally, with testing and verifying hypothetical model, the investigation of template to authenticate Plutonium warhead based onγ-ray spectrum is feasible.
